In recent years, prodigious foreign literary works have aroused widespread attention of domestic readers. Actually, many novelists in our country are faithful readers of foreign literary outputs. The chosen text of this translation practice is At First Sight, which was written by a famous American novelist Nicolas Sparks, one of the most famous romance novelists in America, and published in 2005. Many of his novels, such as Message in a Bottle, Notebook and A Walk to Remember have been shot as movies.The translation report is composed of four parts. Chapter One is an introductory section of the task of the project, the writer and the text. Chapter Two is about the process of translation. Chapter Three is the translation strategy in from two different perspectives such as syntactic and lexical level. In Chapter Four, the lesson, experience and revelation learned from this translation process are summarized. The translation analysis is the main part of this report. By analyzing the cases respectively from syntactic and lexical levels, and discusses the importance of the application of translation strategies to translation practice.
