The thesis takes advantage of the method which combines the quantitative research and the qualitative research. The thesis is aimed at making a quantitative research on the topics, the genres, the vocabulary, the proportion of business vocabulary taking in books at different levels, the exercises, the concrete question types and the aimed knowledge points of exercises of the texts of Zongheng Business Chinese ·Reading Course(Pre-intermediate, Intermediate 1, and Intermediate 2) on the basis of relevant outline and theories and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the textbooks in order to provide some suggestions to improve the textbooks.Chapter one is introduction, which makes an introduction about the research significance of the thesis and summarize the achievements on the reading teaching materials of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and business Chinese of domestic and overseas scholars. In addition, this chapter further introduces the research theories,research methods and relevant outline of the thesis.Chapter two mainly includes the statistics of the topics and the genres of every text in Zongheng Business Chinese ·Reading Course(Pre-intermediate, Intermediate 1and Intermediate 2) and the analysis about the books on the basis of the BCT outline.Chapter three makes the statistics of the vocabulary, the vocabulary grades, the proportion of business words taking in every text of Zongheng Business Chinese ·Reading Course(Pre-intermediate, Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2) and analyzes the content in accordance with the relative theories.Chapter four makes the statistics of exercises, question types and the aimed knowledge points of exercises of every text in Zongheng Business Chinese ·ReadingCourse(Pre-intermediate, Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2) and analyzes the textbooks in line with the relevant theories.Chapter five points out some problems existing in the teaching materials and offers the relevant suggestions on them according to the analyses of the previous three chapters.
