One significant characteristic of the Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages lies in its large numbers of Three-Syllable and Non-lexical-items, in comparison of its past counterparts. In accordance with their structural, semantic characteristics, cultural meaning and the roles in sentences as well as articles, the non-lexical-items are divided into four categories, including the idiom, functionary phrase, speech genre and structurally fixed items.This thesis includes five parts:the first part is the introduction, mainly discussing the research purpose and significance of this article, the research status of Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages (2010) and its counterparts, and that of Three-Syllable and Non-lexical-items under the background of research of ontology as well as research of teaching Chinese to the speakers of other Languages. Research subjects and methods are also pointed out in this paper.The second part is the concrete analysis of four categories of non-lexical-items. In accordance with their characteristics, the research for idioms is carried out in terms of grammar, rhetoric and culture, the research for functionary phrase in terms of grammarian structure and function, the research for structurally-fixed items in terms of positions in speech and pragmatic roles. The research targets the characteristics of various kinds of Three-Syllable and Non-lexical-items, and includes its comparison with those in textbooks and the suggestion for words in the Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages as well as the textbook, in the hope of the development of teaching of Three-Syllable and Non-lexical-items.The third part includes the analysis of those Three-Syllable and Non-lexical-items, the comparison of those items and their counterparts in two outlines of the Graded Vocabulary of HSK, and some teaching advice of Non-lexical-items on the basis of that are put forward.The fourth part puts forward suggestions for words in the textbook of the Chinese Language Course of Study on the foundation of the research of Three-Syllable and Non-lexical-items in it.The fifth part is the epilogue which summarizes the main points of the whole thesis. |
