This paper is a study on the protection of intangible cultural heritage during the folk art heritage and its influencing factors. According to the G. H. Elder of the life course theory as the guide, based on in-depth field investigation, detailed recording and analysis are engaged in the study of the history of folk art, the main concern in The main event of the influence of the intangible cultural heritage in the process of social change, the extraction of the main factors affecting the heritage, and how to study factors play a role.This paper selects Folk Shadow Play Art Heritage Gu Jingen in Dongling District of Shenyang City and the shadow play art heritage as a case, using in-depth interviews and Field Investigation way, around art experience of shadow play artist Gu Jingen and shadow art heritage status, in the perspective of social change, analysis occurred during the shadow art heritage and the process.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, which introduces the purpose of the topic and research significance of this paper, describes the research method adopted, to tease out the previous research results at home and abroad, and then points out department of innovation and shortcomings of this article. The second chapter mainly documenting throughout the life course of Gu Jingen, the Shadow play artist, who study the contact with his teacher, and how became an official artist to participate in the show, and finally being identified as heritage of the folk art of shadow play and the shadow play art status quo. In the third chapter, it extracts some events cause social changes which have significant impacts on the inheritance and development of shadow arts in the course of Gu Jingen engaged in the shadow arts. And realizing the process of Gu Jingen and his family, and recording the coping strategies, psychological changes and facing problems, and then draws the influencing factors about the inherit of shadow arts. The fourth chapter applying the identity theory to introduce the different identity recognition in the different period of Gu Jingen as a shadow artist. And the chapter five mainly discussed the core factors about the inheriting of shadow arts, and explained how these factors play their roles in shadow arts. And in the end of the chapter, the author gave up with some reflections. The sixth chapter is a conclusion. Basing on the analysis and the conclusions of the article, the author gives some reflection about the folk art heritage and intangible cultural heritage protection, and some protection methods and policies about how to further improve and develop non-material cultural heritage.according to analysis,this paper finds a lot of influential factors of the intangible cultural heritage, which are generated from the whole process of social change by combining the art career experience of the Intangible Cultural Heritage successors and Elder’s life course theory. Social structure, social system and even the great changes in social culture exert influence on the intangible cultural heritage. By means of theoretical analysis of life course theory, it can be seen that how these factors play a roles in the heritage activities of non-material cultural heritage successors. Therefore, the main factors affecting intangible cultural heritage are given, reference to recommendations are provided in order to help the government departments to develop more realistic and effective systems and policies, and to guide practical activities about protection of intangible cultural heritage, and gain experience and constantly revised, so as to solve the various problems faced by the Intangible cultural Heritage, which not only can provide institutional support to the intangible cultural heritage protection, but also can make a contribute to the theoretical study of non-material cultural heritage.
