This report is the introduction, analysis and summary of the author’s interpreting practice of Half an Hour Economy. Combined with interpreting theories at home and abroad,the author lists various examples based on interpreting record, carries on the analysis and thinking in the course of interpreting, in order to give the guidance to the future study and practice.This report is composed of three chapters. Chapter One is the description to the Half an Hour Economy program and the operation of the program. This program has played an important role in enhancing economic cooperation between China and other foreign countries.Chapter Two is the description of interpreting process. The first is the preparation before translation, including preparation of economic terms, program characteristics and the host’s language style, etc. Through searching network and reading books, the author achieved sufficient materials for interpretation. Secondly, the author described the strategies. Directed by the ‘syntactic linearity principle’, the translator tries to have a case analysis of the influence and restriction in the process of interpreting, such as background knowledge, personal status and other factors, especially the strategies like methods dealing with the words, nominalization, context selection method.Chapter Three puts forth the unsolved problems of interpreting and enlightenment for the future study. The main issues are vocabulary obstacle and translator’s role transformation. The first reason is the author’s own lack capacity, the second is the lack of experience in oral interpretation.The last part is the conclusion. The author aims to explore the process and mode of the TV programs, especially the economic interview programs, so as to provide the guidance for the later interpreting practice.
