The non-verbal communication is a significant auxiliary teaching method throughout all the Chinese teaching activity to the foreign students, which can help transmitting the information, observing the students’ real intention. The non-verbal communication refers to all the communication without using verbal language, including body language, proxemics, paralanguage, time concept, appearance and blackboard-writing. All this can be applied to highlight the teaching key-point, fulfill the language information or transmit the information instead of using verbal language. Teaching activity combines teach and learn, knowing the importance of non-verbal communication and how to use it properly becomes an important topic for the Chinese teacher to work with. Not only can the teaching effect be influenced by non-verbal communication, but also the relationship between teachers and students. People pay most attention to the language using in the class, ignoring the importance of non-verbal communication, especially the influence to the relationship between teacher and student caused by it. The survey in University of Ulsan shows most students think the eye-contact, movement, facial expressions even clothing do effect their Chinese learning. Therefore, Chinese teachers should pay more attention to use the non-verbal communication while teaching the foreign students, the positive non-verbal communication can enhance the teaching quality. On the other hand, the negative non-verbal communication can also damage the motivation of learning Chinese.
