Looking The Construction And Function Of Cognitive Context In The TV Show <DAY DAY UP>

Cognitive context is the dynamic form of the context, it is a concept of vital importance in pragmatics. This thesis takes a multidisciplinary to construct an overall and systematic theoretical framework of cognitive context. And choose the TV show DAY DAU UP which is famous for intensive dialogues and fixed style. From the perspective of the cognitive, we will look the construction and function of cognitive context in the TV show DAY DAY UP. This thesis includes these parts:Part one is the chapter one introduction. In this part, we will determine the topic basis, study object, research methods and the significance of the thesis.Part two is from chapter two to chapter four, it is the core content of this thesis. Chapter two will study the basic theory of cognitive context. Cognitive context is a comprehensive and complicated construct of psychology, which is in interlocutors’brains. It includes three parts, they are knowledge of the situation, knowledge the context and knowledge the background. We consider that cognitive context has the nature of dynamic, gestalt and humanity. Based on the theory of cognitive context, we chapter three will study the construction of cognitive context in the TV show DAY DAY UP. We will finish the research form the angle of speakers and listeners. The chapter four is about the function of cognitive context.Part three is the conclusion of this dissertation.
