Liaozhailiqu is the popular works written by Shandong writer Pu Songling. We take the modal adverbs as the object of study, conducted a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the modal adverb, and has the characteristics of Shandong Dialect on the detailed classification and description.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is about the introduction, we have some description on liaozhailiqu bibliography, research object, research significance, research methods, research status briefly.The second part is the definition and classification of liaozhailiqu modal adverbs. The modal adverb is a tone of the speaker’s expression, the range of the modal adverbs is broad. And there is a great sentence of modification on the text. According to the different tone of the modal adverbs, The paper will be classified liaozhailiqu modal adverbs into four categories, such as the statement stressed, about the estimates, about the doubt adverb, and about the subjective evaluation and the modal.The third part focuses on the characteristics about the modal adverbs in syntax, semantic, pragmatic. In the syntax, the modal adverbs are usually located between the subject and predicate verb modification. In the semantic direction, the direction of the modal adverbs is different and various. Modal adverbs, as the sentence adverbial, usually point to the later modified ingredients. In the pragmatic aspect, modal adverbs can usually have a variety of expressive function.The fourth part is the key part of a detailed analysis of the modal adverb, Mood Adverb has more special in the ancient vernacular Chinese and at the same time, there is a comparison between diachronic with modern dialect and Mandarin, which deeply reveals the same point, the difference, and the evolution. Among them, we selected several typical modal adverbs in the four classes to have a detailed description, such as "confirmation" "estimation" "really" "probably" "originally" "instead" and so on.The fifth part is making a macroscopic examination on liaozhailiqu modal adverbs. Through the investigation and analysis of the 172 modal adverbs, we summed up some characteristics of word formation.
