Abusive language, as an organic language component, is an important language culture phenomenon. The emerging and using of intimate abusive language is greatly affected by context and in this thesis intimate abusive language is categorized in the light of interpersonal relationship which mainly refers to three types of relationship, i.e. family, friendship and love. Also conclusion has been drawn on the four characteristics of intimate abusive language, i.e. Acceptance popularity, regional culture diversity, context distinction and variability in its meaning. Intimate abusive language usually arises from social factors as well as psychological factors such as joy, care and shyness(three major psychological motivations). With the data obtained from questionnaires, this thesis analyzes pragmatic status of intimate abusive language for foreign students in advanced class and MTCSOL in grade 2014 in College of international cultural exchange of CCNU, and it statistically collects and analytically summarizes the basic condition of Chinese abusive language in foreign students, application of categorizing for intimate abusive language and the accuracy of intimate abusive language usage in concrete contexts.
