For now, influenced by various factors, higher vocational college English teachingefficiency is low, does not meet the requirements of the ministry of education proposed.Although the ministry of education for education development situation continuously makedocuments, policies, is also true that the higher vocational English teaching reform has playeda certain role in promoting, but due to the external environment constraints, and the influenceof the traditional education concept, to improve the students’ ability of English remains verydifficult. In the context of the current, how to train higher vocational students’ interest inlearning English, English skills get balanced development is an inevitable problem in highervocational English teaching. This article is launched a series of studies on the issue.Research process, this paper for the information from questionnaire and interview, on thebasis of scientific analysis and processing, combined with his own teaching practice andexperience, carefully combed the current problems of higher vocational English teaching, andmake the theory traces, and then from the higher vocational students, higher vocationalteachers and higher vocational colleges teaching Suggestions are put forward three angles,provides reference to improve higher vocational English teaching efficiency.Through the analysis of the questionnaire, the author found that W vocational andtechnical college students think English listening is very important and important proportionof the sum is as high as93.41%,30.77%of students think that the lack of cultural backgroundknowledge problem his understanding of English listening materials, there are up to46.15%of the students said it was because of too much attention to a word and missed the othercontent, suggesting that their listening ability is poor, basic knowledge reserves is insufficient;65%of the students was not satisfied with their oral English ability, only13.33%of thestudents will be able to use English to complete the classroom communication, basic canachieve classroom communication is not only25.49%,58.43%of students choose to buyEnglish books and related audio and video materials self-study to improve their oral English,only9.02%will be the focus of the teacher tells as the main content of oral English training,and up to54.51%of the students will have no morning reading habits and it shows that theinstitute students’ English speaking ability is poor, lack of training; Only7.00%of the students like reading English materials, it shows that W vocational and technical collegestudents’ English learning passivity is great; There are more than80%of the students haverealized the thorough reading plan is necessary, but rarely do extract in the process of readingnotes; Their difficulties mainly come from the understanding of the English materials weakfoundation in small vocabulary, syntax and semantic grasp the three aspects of factors is notallowed. From the point of learning motivation, the school students’ motivation of learningEnglish is mainly to get good test scores or grade certificate for, think English learning is akind of responsibility or task, get ideal job, further study groundwork, as the magic weapon ofleisure entertainment, interested in English culture, etc.6.The causes of these problems are both students, there are teachers, and school andsociety. Broadly is: students’ learning consciousness, the foundation is bad, not interest,teachers’ teaching idea behind, obsolete teaching mode, teaching design is not reasonable, theschool is too pay attention to the English written test result, the lack of a system of Englishlistening and speaking training., therefore, we should cultivate the students’ interest inlearning, to build confidence, select learning materials, the expanded aspect of knowledge,carry out graded teaching, take care of the demand of the students in different stages ofdevelopment, actively develop English teaching resources, to create a good learningenvironment, pays special attention to the intensive reading course, strengthen the writingability, pay attention to the protection of the students learning motivation and learning intereststimulate, the transformation idea, strengthen the basic construction of teaching facilities,efforts to improve the quality of students and culture combining with, constantly optimize thehigher vocational English teachers from several aspects such as efforts.
