The simultaneous interpreting has been widely used in the various conferencesand achieved the good results. Recently with the fast development of the TV media,the audience is paying much more attention on the international affairs and majorincidents. As a result, TV simultaneous interpreting which belongs to thesimultaneous interpreting has been developed gradually. TV simultaneousinterpreting is utilized in the TV industry. It has been showed that this emerging fieldhas boosted the efficiency of live TV broadcast and the TV information transmissionspeed has been quickened in the world. At the same time, TV simultaneousinterpreting is widely accepted by the audience. In the western countries, the TVsimultaneous interpreting has been mature with decades of history while in China, itis still a young industry. In2003, the war of Iraq, the CCTV employed the TVsimultaneous interpreting for the first time. Up till now, our mainland owns aroundten years history which is late for the area of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Hence, TVsimultaneous in China has a large space to develop. In these years the research of TVsimultaneous interpreting was usually about the introduction and the experience witha little about the systematical interpreting features. Obama’s TV speech is taken asthe material and the two versions from CCTV and Phoenix TV are compared. Thethesis was divided into three main chapters. In the first chapter, the definition, thebackground, the features of the TV simultaneous interpreting are introduced in hopeof more people will have a knowledge on it. In the chapter two, this material wasanalyzed with the choosing reasons. According to the8judging standards put forwardby Kruz, the differences and interpreting strategies between the two versions areconcluded. In the Chapter Three, some advices are mentioned for the interpreters interms of self-improvement and interpreting techniques in hope of making somecontributions to the TV simultaneous interpreting and attracting more and more English experts, TV station or the ordinary people to pay attention on the field of TVsimultaneous interpreting.
