In this paper, short-term expressions of Shandong dialect literature in Ming andQing dynasties are the object of this research. In other words, we explore the variousways that how to express short-term through the semantic category of short-term. Weadopt the way that divided the paper into different subjects, including nouns, phrases,adverbs, overlapping and metaphor, showing the basic outline of short-termexpressions of Shandong dialect literature in Ming and Qing dynasties. Details are asfollows:Introduction includes the main background, current research on Shandong dialectliterature in Ming and Qing dynasties and Chinese short-term expressions, citationstyle and release notes, study methods.The first chapter, study on the short prevue."Short-term" is not only the commoncognitive category but also is a huge semantic grammatical category, having manycharacteristics, such as subjectivity and relativity. Besides we define "short-term"from two aspects of meaning and form standard.The second chapter, study on short-term words and phares. According to the viewof Liu Yuehua, we divided short-term words and phares into two parts. We statisticsthe amount of short-term words and phares from the metric Jin Ping Me(i《金瓶梅》),Marriage Destines to Awaken the World(《醒世姻缘传》), and the Popular MusicCollection of the Make-do Studio(《聊斋俚曲集》), summing up the structurecharacteristics, usage frequency and syntactic functions of short-term words. The third chapter, study on short-term adverbs. According to the the view of LiShaohua Zhang Yisheng and Lu Jianming, we divide the short-term adverbs into fourparts. On the basis of the analysis of each word, we compare with some otherliterature during the Ming and Qing dynasties. At the same time, we discuss thecharacteristics of some short-term adverbs in different periods.The fourth chapter, study on the verb overlapping.Firstly, we review of grammaticalmeaning of the expression of verb overlapping and combine with the modern Chineseliterature to prove the meaning of the verb overlapping that can express short-term,putting forward the constraints. Then we list etght types of verb overlapping that canexpress short-term.The fifth chapter, study on metaphor and short-term expression.Firstly we discussesthe means that express short-term through metaphor, such as some body action, someaction of eat tea and so on. Then we discuss their mechanism of metaphor.Summary. We summed up this research and draw the conclusions of the paper.
