With the rising of positive psychology, gratitude as a type of positivepsychological quality and subjective well-being as positive yearningpsychological feelings are entering into people’s horizons. Both of themare not only the talking stock in the street, but also the research hotpots ofpsychology and pedagogy.The academic achievement, school life satisfaction, peerrelationships of teenagers are associated closely with gratitude, whilesubjective well-being is closely related to important social relationships,etc. Therefore, it is very necessary to explore the functioning mechanismsof the two.Meanwhile, the research on mediated and moderated effects ofteenager’s gratitude and subjective well-being can not only enrich thestudying contents of the two matters in the field of positive psychology,but also provide the basis and references for the education andinterference of their gratitude and subjective well-being. The author adopted the method of questionnaire survey withstudents from grade four to eight as the subjects of the present research. Itinvestigated the differences between grades, gender, family structure,family economic level, parents’ educational level, students’ gratitude andsubjective well-being and then analyzed the relationship between the lasttwo above. Finally, with the study of the mediated and moderated effect,the conclusions are shown as follows.Firstly, generally speaking, teenagers’ gratitude and subjectivewell-being were in good condition and were higher than the averagelevel.Secondly, teenagers’ gratitude were significant differences in gender,residential location, grade, family structure, family economic situationand maternal education leve, paternal education level made littledifference.Thirdly, teenagers’ subjective happiness were significantdifferences in gender, residential location, grade, family structure, familyeconomic situation and parental education level.Fourth, the score of gratitude and its various dimensions positivelycorrelated to the subjective well-being. Regression analysis indicated thatgratitude could forecast subjectivity well-being with the power equaling18%. Fifth, social support, positive responsive ways, partnership,relationships between parents and children, teachers and students played amediated role in gratitude and subjective well-being with the percentageof30.91%,46.55%,26.05%,17.34%and12.94%, respectively.Sixth, gender and paternal education level had little mediatedeffect on gratitude and subjective well-being, while residential locationand maternal education level had obvious effect on them. Specifically,teenagers’ gratitude in rural areas influenced the subjective well-beingmore, and the effect grew with the increase of their mother’s educationlevel.
