The Research On Wuyi Opera Club’s Playwrights

Wuyi opera club is the nation’s first opera club self-organized by Opera playwrights like Zhenghuai Xing, Wang Renjie, Zhou Changfu, etc and a small amount of theoretical critic, who are the backbone and representative of the creative team of Fujian opera field. This paper aims to make a systematic study of Wuyi opera club and analyse the ideological implication and artistic features of these playwrights’ works. And it tries to discuss the development of the club from the establishment of a opera club to the overall situation of today. We try to get an overview of the development of Fujian opera by looking into the development of this club. In this way, we can understand the outstanding playwright, theorist, and the development history of Fujian opera. On one hand, it is a compensation for the lack of research in academic filed. On the other hand, it tries to explore the inherent motivation for the development of Fujian opera.
