China’s large population determines the importance of public transport and the futurelevel of development. It also provides an unprecedented development to bus body advertising.Bus body advertising, using bus as a communication medium, is a new, flowing form ofadvertising. With the rapid development of bus body advertising market, commercialadvertising service is satisfied, meanwhile the relative lack of public service advertising andother issues need to be resolved. For example: disharmony bus body advertising visual effect,advertisements confuse the primary with secondary of contents, discordant in visual language,like information overload can be found everywhere, so the majority of consumers for busbody advertising generated resentment, leading advertising information content deliveryfailure, affecting the healthy development of urban bus body advertising. So, the problem ofhow to properly guide the healthy and harmonious development of bus body advertisingbecomes the paper’s focuses.This paper, to start with, mainly analyzes the status quo of bus body advertising, andexcavations and researches problems and contradictions in the starting bus body advertising.From overview of the bus body advertising forms to understand the basic concept of thecommon types of ads and the urban environment impact and penetration, and from theperspective of the visual elements of the design studies propose appropriate solutions, fromthe perspective of cognitive psychology and consumer city proper guidance bus bodyadvertising design ideas. Combine the bus body advertising with people’s psychological andphysiological needs, and put the bus body advertising into the city environment to study tocreate a bus body advertising that is “pleasant to use" and “pleasant to feel ". Identifypotential problems of bus body advertising by research, and try to give standards usingrelevant state laws and regulations. So that the bus body advertising visual elements canestablish the correct design principles to promote a healthy and optimize development ofurban environment, and create a person-car-harmonious atmosphere for the development of the urban environment.
