Higher vocational colleges in recent years of music education has achieved rapiddevelopment, carry out the two aspects in the theoretical construction and practice aremore significant upgrade. With the development of institutions of higher vocationaleducation quality steadily, not only provides a platform for the activities of musiceducation, also really can help play a positive role in the cultivation of talents inHigher Vocational Colleges to cultivate the ability of leavened dough, improve thecomprehensive talents. Music education in higher vocational colleges play its goodfunction value. As higher vocational colleges music educators, we in music teachingpractice, the teaching content of music education rich and diverse teaching means, toexcavate the music education in Higher Vocational College Curriculum continuouslyperfect structure, the construction of campus culture, student quality improvement andother aspects the positive role. Efforts will be of theoretical guidance of musiceducation into teaching action, implementation and completion of the Ministry ofeducation on the development of music education in Higher Vocational Collegesrequirements and standards. With the constant deepening of music teaching in highervocational colleges, the value and function of music education must be embodied, butcan not be ignored is some constraints, are indeed has a negative impact on musiceducation in Higher Vocational colleges. So the author combines the music teachingpractice, from the combination of theory and practice point of view, relying on theJincheng Institute of Technology as a research platform, the music education inHigher Vocational Colleges and puts forward some suggestions and opinions of theirown. Specific to this paper, the main research contents of:The first chapter is the embodiment of the public music education of highervocational colleges to carry out the value, the author thought is mainly reflected infour aspects, one is to promote the students’ moral cultivation, two is to improve thestudents’ political awareness, the three is the development of the students’ intelligence,four is to train the students’ aesthetic ability. The second chapter is an analysis on thepresent situation of the music education at higher vocational colleges, several main factors such as: idea generation do not know the place, the school has positioningdeviation, weak teachers teaching facilities is not perfect, three is the curriculumsetting unreasonable teaching mode is not perfect etc.. The third chapter is differentaccording to the problems in the second chapter, combined with their own workpractice puts forward the scientific teaching plan. First of all colleges and universitiesshould change ideas, clear thinking and understanding. Second is to strengthen theconstruction of teachers to improve teaching facilities, the training mode of the mostimportant point is to establish a "people-oriented" talent.
