| In order to improve the quality of tour guide interpreting, recent researches haveprovided certain a series of strategies and methodologies both through theoreticalresearch and practical analysis. However, the practical case analysis covers anextensive range of materials. So it should be continuously supplemented, therefore toprovide better references to solving similar problems.In this paper, the author discusses every vital parts of one practical tour guideinterpreting, and presents several solutions to improving the quality of it. Moreover,the author makes some suggestions to guide interpreting training by analyzingproblems and difficulties in the interpreting. Overall, the paper can be divided intofour sections: Chapter one mainly generalizes the background, features andrequirements of the task. Chapter two introduces the preparation work, interpretationperformance, a few unexpected incidents and solutions. Then interpretingassessments were given respectively from client’s perspective and in aself-examination manner. Chapter three discusses the features of this guideinterpreting, and analyzes problems and difficulties which were encountered in theprocess, such as misinterpretation, information loss and speaking errors. Chapterfour elaborates several solutions of how to improve the quality of guide interpreting,and the author also gives some proposals for later training. |
