Analyses Of Phonetic Notes In Liushugu

Dai Tong vigorously advocated the theory of Liushu after ZhengQiao,and writed the book Liushugu,which is a wordbook classified byLiushu, breaks the original classification method in Shuowenjiezi,divides the words into nine categories according to their meanings,rearranges radicals in Chinese characters in Shuowenjiezi, and analyseswords’meanings on the basis of inscriotions on ancient bronzeobjects forthe first time.However, there have had many comments either appreciative or criticalamomg academic circles after the publishing of the book Liushugu. Throughthe relatively systematic study by modern scholars, the academic valueof this book has been acknowledged, and some research achievements aboutLiushugu have been accomplished. But these researchers mainlyconcentrated in characters or vocabulary, only a few scholars spend timein researching on phonology. After our data collection in many ways, thereis only a piece of article written by Chen Yuanyuan in2012, which analysedthere kinds of phonetic phenomena cases of Wen Zhou in Liushugu. Does thephonetic notes in Liushugu have no academic value? Or does the scholarshave a prejudice again Dai Tong? With these questions, we attempt to studythe phonetic notes in Liushugu.Phonetic notes comparation is the main method used in this thesis.By the phonetic notes comparation between the Liushugu and the Guangyun,Jiyun, which are the representative of rhyme books in the middle ancienttimes, or other relevant rhyme books, we attempt to search the phonologysource of these characters in Liushugu. Through this kind of comparation,we find that some phonetic notes in Liushugu reflect the change of actualvoice of Song Dynasty, especially some phonetic notes reflect dialect ofWen Zhou in Song Dynasty, so they are very valuable. There are thirty-threevolumes in Liushugu in all. Limited to time and the length of the thesis,we only do research on the first fifteen volumes in Liushugu, hoping toview the sky through a tube and measure the sea with a calabash.This thesis has about180000words and falls into four sections andthree kinds of appendix:Chapter One: Introduce the study object, describe the study purpose,research method and the relevant achievements.Chapter Two: List the comparative results of phonetic notes inLiushugu, Guangyun, Jiyun and other relevant rhyme books.Chapter Three: List the same and the different phonetic notes inLiushugu, Guangyun, Jiyun and other relevant rhyme books. Chapter Four: Analyses the different phonetic notes in Liushugu,Guangyun, Jiyun and other relevant rhyme books.Conclusion.Appendix One: Liushu Tongshi.Appendix Two: Liushu Gumu.Appendix Three: Corrections and Supplements about Liushugu.
