Application Of "Changduan" In Symphonic Music

Special application study of "chang duan" of Korean ethnic groups, belongs to rhythm study in terms of composition technique research, "chang duan" as a unique musical feature possessed by Korean ethnic group, reveals profound and in-depth connotation as well as high value in application.With the boosting development of traditional Korean music study, "chang duan" is being fully developed and given full display in its application. This dissertation analyses 13 symphony musical works, which are the most noted and wide-spread classic ones created by China’s Korean ethnic groups at a time when New China was founded. These two applicable and practical works are created for supporting this dissertation. By the analysis and research of "chang duan", and by verification towards its feasibility, it’s fair for me say that "chang duan" has been absorbed into music creation as composition techniques.This dissertation expounds three concepts-- type, connotation, and feature as well as non-consistency of "chang duan" from the perspective of application. It also clarifies its change and development in its way of application with specific means. This is not only a specific analysis of "chang duan" feature of Korean music, but also a discover extending from "narrow sense " to "broad sense".
