| As computer-aided translation (CAT) is increasingly popular and high valuednowadays, it is applied on the practical translation works frequently. The author reliedon the chapter5Daoism of The Culture of China and employed the Déjà vu as aidedtranslation tool, makes an introduction on the computer-aided preparation in thetranslating process. With a large amount of Chinese traditional sayings and images, orproverbs and quotations from ancient books in the chapter Daoism, it is a typical textfor computer-aided translations. The author holds the preparation stage is the keypoint for computer-aided translation. The computer-aided preparation is roughlydivided into three steps: the document preparation, the term base establishment andthe project creation. The operations of these steps, the maintaining of the term baseand the effects of the preparation in the translating process are elaborated in detail.Lastly, the author makes a summary on the whole preparation according to thepractical application to the translating process to accumulate experiences for thefuture translation works and projects. |
