A A Study On Vietnam’s Localization Of Junior School Chinese Textbook Entitled "Hanyu"(1-4 Edition)

In order to meet the different learning needs of students with different mother tongue background and cultural background, the localization of teaching materials has become a hot research topic. In fact, there are already some research achievements regarding the sa id topic. At present, the main research on Vietnam’s foreign language teaching materials a re mostly local general textbook, research in localized teaching materials were few. Vietn amese as the mother language of the Chinese language learners, the researcher will start f rom her own experience in learning Chinese language. Then through the analysis of the 1 ocalization of the teaching material entitled "hanyu" which includes the text, words, gram mar and exercises, combining the data gathered through survey, will evaluate the localiza tion of the said material which will be done through the identification of the strengths and weaknesses. May this research serve as a reference in the preparation of the future Chine se teaching materials.
