| Marine bears not only human a long evolutionary history, and human development have arisen in the course of a special culture-a culture of ocean. In a sea of humanity in the history of culture, status of China can not be overlooked, from the "marine Silk Road" to Zheng He’s voyages until closed by the decline of the Qing dynasty, no matter what age, China’s marine culture and become one of the most important elements of marine culture in the world. In the zoning of China’s marine culture, feature prominently in Fujian and Taiwan areas, on both sides of marine culture as a common cultural background, to promote has positive significance of the relationship between the two sides.This paper applies the ocean culture in Fujian and Taiwan areas in packaging design and characteristics of Fujian and Taiwan’s food with gifts package design as an example to explore. Choose this subject there are two reasons:firstly, with the continuous improvement of the material conditions of society and people’s aesthetic consciousness is also increasing people’s purchasing power is rising at the same time the demand for commodities is not stopping at its use value, or price, they began to focus on aesthetic and spiritual needs. So now it’s packaging, in addition to protection and beautification of the goods, may also try to add some value other than the property, such as culture and heritage, emotional exchange and interaction. It will be a development trend of packaging design, so this article will apply to representatives of the marine culture with emotional exchanges across the Taiwan Strait in the gift packaging design inquiry, can also play a role in promoting development of packaging design.
