Violence Aesthetics was first used as a word in the film critic of Hong Kong.Before widespread popularity in the late 1990 s in the society, it mainly refers to the fun of formalism towards the film of violence. Film and television works appear violent and bloody scenes, it becomes a purely artistic form for pleasure. From the perspective of aesthetic culture of view, “Violence Aesthetics” belongs to the language of art to express meaningful form. This thesis introduces the film term“Violence Aesthetics” as a study for the novel that describe violence.It becomes a aesthetic keyword. To study the special rhetorical discourse of violence in performance, as well as social and historical significance of Mo Yan’s depiction of violence.Violence and beauty are two opposites, but in literature, the “beauty” of violence becomes the external form of art, depiction of violence is a special literary aesthetic manifestations, it is a meaningful form. In this thesis, research the fact that the phenomenon of violence in the classic novels of Mo Yan, thinks that in Mo Yan’s novels, Mo Yan uses aesthetic “beauty” form to write the violence, with the forms of violence to restore the truth of history and folk. Also show the “beauty” of violence.“ Violence Aesthetics” can be a great spectacle in Mo Yan’s novel, it is feature of the novels. The violence is not only the content of his novels, but also artistic expressions of his novels. This thesis study “Violence Aesthetics” of Mo Yan’s novel.Its significance lies in how to establish the basic aesthetic standpoint of contemporary social and cultural level, how to deal with and understand the flow of contemporary aesthetic culture, how to retain the basic perception of aesthetic judgment in the development process of contemporary aesthetic culture.In this thesis, first of all, define the connotation of violence and “Violence Aesthetics”. Author set the relationship between them and analysed the causes and“Violence Aesthetics” of the novel, and then explored “Violence Aesthetics” discourse of the novel, investigate the narrative characteristics, performance practices and violent narrative feature characters. Secondly, to explore the art style of Mo Yan’s“Violence Aesthetics” and investigate the reader’s horizon of expectation and reading shocked affect. Finally, to explore the background of today aesthetic value of Mo Yan’s “Violence Aesthetics” and practical significance for the social and cultural construction.By analyzing the novel’s whole text of the “beauty” of violence form of expression. It concluded that Mo Yan’s “Violence Aesthetics” expressed against violence and subversion, is to present the original vitality and individual freedom uninhibited soul awe. Further argues that “Violence Aesthetics” of Mo Yan’s novel subversives an aesthetic act absurd banter, beyond the classical tradition of aesthetics. He deconstructed the traditional aesthetics in the post-modern context. It was the reconstruction of the aesthetics of the modern spirit. At the same time,“Violence Aesthetics” is his internal discourse of the rhetorical strategy.It is his questionable utterance of the cultural system and historical truth.
