Chinese martial arts film is a film type has influence in the world. Violence is a basic martial arts movie contents and expressions. As a person's behavior is based on raw instinct, violence has inevitably bloody nature of terror, cruelty and killing. Therefore, the use of violence to attract the interest of viewers simultaneously, how to avoid the brutal nature of violence, and to mobilize the good side of human nature, to promote the power of good and the beautiful, has been a core issue faced by martial arts movie.Born in Vietnam and raised in Hong Kong, and well versed in Chinese traditional culture, film director Tsui Hark's martial arts movie, after years of exploration, in the narrative of violence in the formation of their own "aesthetics of violence" paradigm.
