Discussing The Application Of Flat Style In New Media Animation

This paper mainly discusses the application rules and methods of flat style in new media animation design. The application of flat style has been hardly mentioned in new media animation, which also lacks related theoretical research. This article discussed about the topic through combination of theory and practice, expecting which will enrich current theoretical research and provide theoretical direction to the application of flat style in new media animation.The paper is divided into three parts.Part One outlines flat style and new media animation. Flat style is a design style with“zero three-dimensional” attribute, the design concept of which could be traced back to the Bauhaus period, and flat style could also be found in early concept design of Disney. New media emerged based on digital technology, network technology and mobile technology, while new media animation have been continuously developing based on these technologies as well. New media animation covers a wide range,including mobile phone games, dynamic animation, GIF animation, etc., and it has three major characteristics, namely narrative adjustment, recreational pursuit and applicative expansion. This part is the theoretical basis of the paper. Part Two elaborates studies on the application of flat style in new media animation design.First, the requirements of new media animation in narration, recreation and application are summarized. Second, it is indicated that the narration of flat-style lens language and the narration of subject content can blend well with the narration of new media animation, flat style enhances the recreation of new media animation by means of generalized modeling, humorous actions and humanized interactions,while the simplicity of flat-style technology and its extensive application perfectly extends the application of new media animation. With combined analysis of theories and practical cases during the elaboration, general ideas and methods for the application of flat style in new media animation design are summed up. Party Three is practical demonstration on the application of flat style in new media animation design. Theories are practiced through the graduation project of “Girlfriend No. 7”,this part is the foothold of the paper. Finally, the combination of flat style and new media animation will achieve increasingly extensive application in the future, and flat style will usher in wider application in dynamic UI, descriptive new media animation, children’s educational app, etc.
