As an important form of music education, community music education plays a very important role in popular music culture in various countries and regions of the world. Object community music education is every member living in the community, with a strong popularity. Meanwhile, as a part of lifelong education,community music education plays an increasingly important role, it is a community cultural development, cultural activities necessary to protect the community level.Today, many countries in the world in community music education has entered a relatively mature development process, both in theory and practice of research or education, are in good running condition. However, the Chinese community of music education in a relatively backward long development process, first of all, the theoretical study of the academic music community music education less; Secondly,in terms of music education in communities of practice, usually no management system, effective teaching, in a relatively loose, spontaneous strong state; addition,personnel training community music education is not on the agenda, whether it is education authorities or local administrative bodies, none of the music education community to a certain attention. Thus, China’s music education community there are many problems to be solved.Development of community music education is facing many problems and difficulties, to Chengdu, for example, a representative of the community to conduct research and exploration, find the center of the development of music education in urban communities, and found an opportunity to the development of music education in urban communities, which undoubtedly music education in the community will be carried out in cities across the country to play a valuable role. Of course, the development of community music education is a long and arduous task,but also need to pay more attention to music education in academic circles, so that the community really play their music education to enhance the national music literacy, improved quality of life and the ability of music aesthetics the role of culture.Study of music education in the community is still in its infancy. Thus, from a macro perspective on the current music education community to conduct a comprehensive study is very difficult. Coupled with the small little rural community music education, so I will be the main city of Chengdu, for example, to study music education in urban communities, with a view of music education in our community theory, practice development and make a modest contribution. This paper is dividedinto four parts:The first chapter is a summary of community music education, the first through the community, community music education clearly define the concept of the study;second section focuses on the characteristics of community music education;Section literature review of international and domestic community music education theory research, practice development.The second chapter is representative of the community for comparative studies.In the context of the development of the study show the history, current status and trends in the development of music education in the community, and its comparative study of.The third chapter by chapter study of the representation of the community, find the characteristics of different communities, urban communities to identify strengths in music education, music education community to find problems in the development, factors that influence the development of music education in the community, thereby draw on community music education for their constructive comments and suggestions put forward countermeasures.
