A Practice Report On Meteorology Paper Translation

With deep development of the international communication and cooperation, the translation industry has entered a new stage. Project management theory is getting popular in the modern translation industry. Translation PM(project manager), as the core of the management, optimizes human resources, translation resources and translation tools by scientifically arranging the project process and effectively monitoring and managing the project implementation within limited conditions so as to fulfill the ultimate goal of project and realize the value of translation results. This study, based on three Chinese meteorology papers and in the form of a practice report of important post, is made by a PM while she was in an internship in a Beijing translation company in 2014. In this report, the author tries to give some advice on solving the problems arose from the translation process, shares experience for the implementation of similar translation project, hopes to bring some inspiration to efficient management, and contributes to widening the application range of the project management theory.
