With the development of economy and culture, under the improvement of China’snational power and international position, more and more people started to pay attentionon Chinese language, thus has been a great push to domestic work of teaching Chinese asa foreign language. While out from all the Chinese courses, Chinese speaking class playsan quite vital role. It has become a fierce task to look for methods to increase theeffectiveness of Oral Chinese class to its largest amount.Recently an unique teaching method called “Performed Culture Approach” has beencreated by faculties of Ohio State University,which has filled some fresh blood in thefield of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.“Performed” implies on multiple meaningof “perform, apply and practice”.“Performed Culture Approach”teaching methodtheoretically focus on culture, intends to combine language teaching and behavioralculture together, fully connects audiolingual method and communicative approach. Thedestination is to help the Chinese foreign learners to communicate with native speakersmore fluently and freely. The original object of this teaching method was not overseasstudents in China. So the major research point is to apply this new method to teachingChinese as a foreign language.This thesis tries to apply this teaching method to the speaking class. With the privateexperience of mine, I am dedicated to prove the effectiveness of this teaching method.
