The Performed Culture Approach is first put forward by Professor Galal Walker of the Ohio State University in America,which is a second language teaching method applied to practice.This teaching approach combines the performance and culture,and stresses the isomorphic relationship between language and culture through the understanding and practice of the culture in target language to learn language,which is widely welcomed by the Chinese teaching class of America,and the relatively idealized teaching effectiveness is achieved.However,the domestic practice and application of the Performed Culture Approach has not been widely popularized,which is only applied in the short term Chinese project CLS co-hosted by Ohio State University and some domestic universities,for example,Suzhou University.The application is also welcomed by students,which effectively improves the students'oral abilities,and provides a new visual angle and train of thought for Teaching Chinese As Foreign Language(TCFL)in China.I take advantage the opportunity of internship at the school of international education at Zhejiang University to apply the Performed Culture Approach to the primary Chinese oral teaching.The documentary study is used to trace back to the source of the Performed Culture Approach to sort out the connotation,teaching model,and the teaching strategies of it,combining with the present situation of the primary Chinese oral teaching,and the questionnaires to discuss the present situation of Chinese oral teaching,study the possibility and applicability of introducing the Performed Culture Approach to the oral English class,conduct teaching designs,and put teaching design into practice.The results of practical analyses manifest that:(1)The Performed Culture Approach is beneficial for students to conduct cross cultural communication appropriately and quickly.(2)Active class atmospheres are beneficial for promoting teaching,the students can passionately join in the construction of the second cultural worldviews.(3)It is beneficial for promoting the students' oral language abilities of sentence and paragraph expression.
