The Online Tourism Industry is a pamphlet which has a systematic and complete introduction to the online tourism industry from the aspect of economics, including its definition, market segmentation, analysis of industrial chain, types of operators, development history, the current situation of the Chinese online tourism industry, and so on. The article includes about 10,000 words and is required to be finished in 10 days. According to the theory of text classification by Newmark, the article belongs to the informative type whose main purpose is to pass on information to readers with the characteristics of authenticity, accuracy and normalization. Based on this, Newmark suggested that translated versions must be readable and acceptable.In the study, the author first had a brief description about the translating text. Then, she analyzed the contents of the text and the text type as well by use of the text classification theory of Newmark so as to determine the translating methods and language style on the whole. And according to the opinions of Newmark, the translation of the text is inclined to use the method of communicative translation. And in language style, it should be simple, accurate and objective. At last, the author analyzed the translating problems and put forward corresponding solutions from the aspects of translation of terminology, solutions to long and difficult sentences and management of cultural differences. With this, the author hoped to provide some reference to translators dealing with texts of the same type.
