A Study Of Xie Lingyun’s Buddhism Works

In this paper,we study and analyze relative Buddhism works of Xie Lingyun in the background of transformation of Buddhism thought in Jin and Song Dynasty. Actually, It can be considered as the first time that academicians research all of Xie Lingyun’s works about Buddhism under the structure of Buddhism thought transformation.According to history clues of Buddhism transformation and works of Xie Lingyun that we can acquire,this paper includes three main parts.The first part is an introduction part,including foreword and Chapterl,mainly resolving three problems.To begin with,this introduction part talks about all relative academic study results in the past two decades in order to make clear where should be explored further on.Besides,it introduces the innovation and deficiency of this paper.Finally,we describe research methods adopted.One of the main methods we adopt is the combination of criticism and textual research.To be more specific,we follow the method of literature,culture structuring,textmining as well as literary criticism so as to achieve the combination of textual research and textual criticism.In this introduction part,we not only research the whole process of Xie Lingyun participating and promoting Buddhism thought transformation,but analyze the crucial meaning of his Buddhism works which witnessed this essential history transformation.The second part is the mainbody of this essay,including between Chapter 2 and Chapter 6,studying Xie Lingyun’s most representative works.In Chapter2,we discuss the book Description of Diamondsutra.In Chapter 3,we study the theory of bianzong,mainly analyzing the discourse of "enlightenment" and "compromise Confucianism".In Chapter 4,we study Fo Ying inscription,with its problem with mastershen different purport.From the small perspective of the differences of heterogeneous,we analyze the Buddhism thought "FaXing","ChanTi".In Chapter 5,we study Xie Lingyun’s activities,including participating in "the great nirvana as utrato change cure,and emphatically analyze the main rolein there structuring process,and the principle of its governance.The third part is the conclusion part,including Chapter 6 and 7.mainly discussing the influence of Buddhism through transformationon Xie’s literature works.In Chapter 6 we take disease description as the break through point.In Chapter 7,we combine characters of Xie’s poems with different phrases of Buddhism thought transformation.As a conclusion,this paper take the rheological of Xie and Dong lin chanting club as a break through point and analyze the process of Xie beging accepted reluctantly as well as its deep cultural and religious meaning.
