Lei Pian was written in Song Dynasty, it is an official compiling wordbook in ancient China, the old title of this book is given by Guang Sima, in fact, Zhu Wang,Su Hu and some other people had participate in writing this book, finally it is examined and approved by Guang Sima, and then submit to emperor of Song Dynasty. LeiPian mainly talks about phonetic notation and paraphrasing, LeiPian had absorbed the annotation achievements from previous wordbooks and recorded a lot of variant Chinese characters, it’s a huge treatise combined character with exegeticcontent, which is of great significance to the research of philology and the history of philology. LeiPian inherit the sorting method of ShuoWenJie Zi, that is sort by radical, meanwhile, the characters with the same radical are not arbitrary organised, it is organized by rhyme, in this way, it is quite convenient for searching and also give great enlightenment to the compiling of the large dictionary of later period. LeiPian had absorb the annotation achievements from previous wordbooks,it is largely basis on ShuoWenJieZi, and also refer to some other wordbooks and exegetic content; Its hansetsu comes from Ji Yun, as the phonetic had changed at that time, the hansetsu has alter a little bit; In the meantime, LeiPian had recorded a lot of variant Chinese characters, it has great reference value for the research of the pronunciation and meaning of ancient book and the development situation of Chinese character.This text start with illustrate the phonetic annotation and paraphrasing for LeiPian, by apply with the consulting method for literature, phonology, philology, bibliography and exegetics etc, this text had conduct an research to the phonetic notation and paraphrasing,and to study the stylistic rules,layout and features, besides, it has classify,revise and interpret the wrong phonetic annotation and paraphrasing, so as to correct as much as errors in LeiPian and to make it better for readers reference.Altogether five charpters for this text, the first charpter is the intrduction, briefly tells the version, research situation, method and meaning of LeiPian. In second charpter, mainly summarized the phonetic annotation and paraphrasing, and it has state the quantity, characters, stylistic rules and layout of the phonetic annotation and paraphrasing. In charpter three, it makes comparison between LeiPian and JiYun phonetic annotation and paraphrasing, meanwhile to explore the their relationship. Charpter four illustrate the type of missing phonetic annotation and paraphrasing in LeiPian, and briefly intrduction the complementary affects that LeiPian for HanYuDaZiDian. Charpter five has made textual criticisms and explanations for the phonetic annotation and paraphrasing of LeiPian, and to point out the faults in it, in the meantime, to correctthem by looking up to the wordbook, rhyming dictionary and using the philology knowledge, the last charpter is the key point of this text.This article by starting from the research for phonetic annotation and paraphrasing of LeiPian, in accordance with the inheritance and development of dictionary, to organize and interpret the phonetic annotation and paraphrasing of LeiPian, meanwhile, this text had correct the faults in LeiPian, which is the necessary reference for the complementary of HanYu DaZiDian. By researching the source, style, characteristic and deficiency of phonetic annotation and paraphrasing, to verify the development process of Chinese pronunciation, vocabulary, exegetic content and Chinese character. In this way to enrich the theroy of lexicography and philology.
