With the development of social economy and the improvement of education,the knowledge employees had become an important force in promoting the further development of China’s economy and culture. The level of work engagement of them is not only influences their occupation development and self realization, but also affects the benefit of organization.Previous studies on work engagement, mainly focused on the factors of individual level and organizational level, ignoring the factors of family field. As an important resource for individuals, psychological capital plays an important role to promote knowledge employees’ engagement. This paper based on the positive and negative dual process model of employee health to explore the influence of psychological capital between work family support and work engagement.Using survey research methods, this study collected 355 valid data from knowledge employees who came from several organizations.This paper analyzed the effect of demographic variables on the study variables, as well as analysis the Pearson product-moment correlation between variables, and explored the relationship between the variables using stepwise method in regression analysis after controlling demographic variables. The results showed that:(1) Organizational support and instrumental support had a significant positive effect on work engagement, but emotional support had a significant negative effect on engagement.(2) Indigenous psychological capital(task-oriented psychological capital and guanxi-oriented psychological capital) had a significant positive effect on work engagement, vigor, dedication and absorption.(3) Indigenous psychological capital partially mediated the effect of the support of workâ†'family on work engagement, and completed mediated the effect of the support of familyâ†'work on work engagement, as well.This paper discovered that work-family support promote work engagement by stimulating knowledge employees’ indigenous psychological capital. In order to promote engagement, organizations should provide plenty support of workâ†'family as well as attach importance to the development of task-oriented psychological capital and guanxi-oriented psychological capital of knowledge stuff.
