Study For Match Of Five Individual Classifiers & Nouns

Chinese quantifiers have unique features in world languages for their richness, easy application and vivid usage. As a remarkable subcategory, individual classifiers and its match with nouns win a place in daily life and are widely used. The number of dictionaries on collocation of modern Chinese quantifiers with nouns is also increasing.Based on classifier-noun dictionaries and corpus, the dissertation studies the general collocation of 143 nouns with five Chinese quantifiers "ge, zhi, kuai, zhang, tiao". This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is introduction, mainly about selection of nouns and commonly used individual quantifiers, the research methods of this article, research significance and the source of corpus. This part also have a brief overview of the study of "individual quantifiers" from five aspects, namely, classification of the "individual quantifiers, individual quantifier semantic characteristics, the combination of individual quantifiers and nouns, the teaching of Chinese individual quantifiers, and individual quantifiers dictionary compilation condition"The second part and the third part is the body part. The second part enumerates the general points of quantifier-noun collocation in the four dictionaries (table), and based on the second part, the third part combining with Peking University corpus illustrates in detail the two phenomena in these four dictionaries, that is, one quantifier with multi-noun and the same collocation of noun and quantifier included in some dictionaries while not excluded in others.The fourth part is the conclusion, and the content of the research for this paper is summarized, pointing out the deficiency of this research and the hopes for the future researchers.
