With the economic development and social transformation, the problem of street children has become a serious social problem facing China. Children’s health of physical and mental is threatened by the wandering experience, easily lead to a series of psychological and behavioral problems. How to effectively prevent and intervene the psychological crisis of street children, it is the problem need to explore and solve. Life events are the important source of the psychological crisis. The negative events are more, and the possibility of crisis is greater. Self-esteem and social support are the intrinsic and extrinsic factors, affecting the psychological crisis. Crisis vulnerability is the measurement index of the crisis capacity. This study aims to explore the association between psychological crisis and the related factors among street children by the investigation and experiment, and to intervene psychological crisis by the group counseling, improving the self-esteem level and enhancing the crisis capacity of the street children.Study 1 selected 97 street children as subjects, to explore the association between life events, social support, self-esteem and crisis vulnerability among street children by four questionnaires of ASLEC and SSRS, SES and Crisis Vulnerability.Study 2 selected 30 street children into experiment by the results of scale screening and individual interview, and distributed 15 into experimental group,15 into the control group. The researcher conducted twelve group counseling on the experimental subjects, and nothing on the control group. After intervention, the researcher estimated the effect of the intervention by the questionnaires of SES, Crisis Vulnerability and the group activity effect.The conclusions of this study are as follows:1. The biggest stress factor of street children’s life events are:the interpersonal relationship and the study pressure. Street children’s social support and self-esteem are lower than that of ordinary children. Street children have a higher crisis vulnerability.2. Street children’s social support has significant difference in life situation. Social support of street children who raised by both parents was significantly greater than that of street children by not both parents.3. There was a significant positive relationship between life events and self-esteem. There was a significant positive correlation between interpersonal relationship, other events and the crisis vulnerability. There was a significant positive correlation between social support and self-esteem. There was a significant negative correlation between the utilization of support and crisis vulnerability.4. Life events and social support can significantly predict self-esteem. Life events and self-esteem can significantly predict the crisis vulnerability.5. The self-esteem plays an intermediary role between the utilization of support and the crisis vulnerability.6. The effect of group counseling on the crisis intervention was significant and stable. Group counseling improved street children’s self-esteem level in a certain extent.
