Volunteer Recruitment And Management Strategies Of Shanghai Symphony Hall

Shanghai Symphony Hall (SSH) was officially open to the public in September 2014. It is the first professional symphony concert hall in Shanghai, which are also functions as home for the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and Shanghai Orchestra Academy (SOA). Like other cultural and artistic institutions, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra is also facing the problem of shortage of manpower. Since December 2014, SSH has started a volunteer project, combining with education and development of audience, growing of the concert halL This study focuses on the recruitment and management of volunteers with the research of domestic and foreign cultural organizations, the experience of SSO Chamber Concerts and MISA festival, integrating information and providing a solution to SSH with the perspective of human resource management.
