From "Made In China" To "the Third Culture"

Xiaoyong Chen is an active famous Chinese descendant in Deutschland composer in today’s European music circles, his music creation made an outstanding contribution to Chinese music work turning out to the world. Taking Xiaoyong Chen music creation as the research object, in different periods of his main music works as the research scope, the composition techniques in his creation as the research content, through the creation at different periods of music language study as the main line, by use of different techniques for all periods to abstract and summary, and thus to comprehensive interpretation Xiaoyong Chen’s special music language.This dissertation consists of six chapters, for Xiaoyong Chen creative language from "made in China" to "the third culture" in the works embodies the theoretical analysis and discussion.In the introduction, this chapter mainly talks about the main reasons for this subject, the research status in both domestic and overseas, and the research methods.In the first chapter, mainly for Xiaoyong Chen’s creation background and experience in domestic and overseas is introduced and summarized.In the second to the fourth chapter, how in detail for Xiaoyong Chen works from stems from the traditional to eventually form the creative transformation of the "the third culture" the creation concept of theoretical analysis and summarized. And each period of representative works of creative thinking, pitch organization, timbre and sound layout and musical structure have been comprehensively analyzed.In the conclusion part is mainly discussed in this dissertation has carried on the induction and abstract of the core content, and from Xiaoyong Chen sound general overview in music creation, pitch material characteristics as well as the organization form of music language are summarized.
