Vocabulary teaching is the key of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, further more, idiom not only is the special significant part of modern Chinese vocabulary, but also is the key point and difficult part of studying vocabulary by overseas students. If teaching idiom scientifically and effectively in the teaching process, teachers can help students to understand and have the idioms rightly, and then arouse interest of learning Chinese, enlarge the number of vocabulary, deepen the understanding of Chinese culture, promote the ability of Chinese expressing and communication, meanwhile, teachers should put stress on teaching idioms to promote the whole level of the teaching of Chinese a foreign language.This thesis could show the culture content of idioms and the importance of learning idioms at first, then, through investigating and anglicizing of <<Chinese Level Vocabulary and Hanzi Rank Outline>>,textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language, HSK tests to analysis the gain and weakness, lastly writer will discuss the strategy of idioms teaching in the course, writer is hopeful to good for idiom teaching in the future.
