In the field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, vocabulary teaching is known as an indispensable part. Idioms as a special lexical category, it is difficult to understand and use idioms in vocabulary teaching. The senior learners pay more passion to study idioms, but it is a challenge for the learners to accurately understand and use idioms. So far, idioms research in TCSL(Teaching Chinese as Second language) mainly focus on semantic error analysis,syntax error analysis,pragmatic error analysis and lexicography and so on. However, idioms research pays less attention to studying idioms rules and lacks of useable methods to guide idioms teaching. Consequently it has important meaning to explore strategy and methodology of idioms teaching to promote TCSL and spread Chinese culture.Firstly, the paper starts from the actuality of Chinese idioms teaching, and compare the characteristic of domestic high school and idioms teaching in TCSL so as to inspire thinking. Secondly, the paper starts from idioms error analysis of Chinese as Second Language, base on collecting 954 pieces of errors in the usage of idioms by foreign students and analyze and summarize the reason of errors in the usage of idioms so as to explore characteristics and rules of Studying Chinese as Second Language. Thirdly, the paper combines experience of idioms teaching in mother tongue in order to obtain the teaching rules and strategies in idioms teaching of Chinese as Second Language. Lastly, the paper research and explore the idioms teaching from methodology of explaining meanings of words,culture meanings,setting teaching circumstance and applying teaching methodology freely.The paper analyses the reason why give birth to errors in the usage of idioms deeply. Referring to the successful experiences of idioms teaching in mother tongue, the paper explore effective strategies and methods in idioms teaching of Chinese as Second Language so as to promote the development of idioms teaching of Chinese as Second Language,improve idioms teaching efficiency in class,reform idioms teaching system and set a scientific and systemic idioms teaching theory. Finally we can help the learners overcome afraid of idioms and achieve the aim of studying idioms enjoyably and using idioms expertly in daily communication.
