Writing as a sub-skills teaching, is an important part of teaching as a foreign language. Discourse theory is applied to study the teaching of writing, which consistent with the concept of teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing aims to develop learners language ability, explore the new thinking space for teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing.Intermediate stage of writing is a critical stage that Chinese language learners begin to form the discourse awareness and improve the discourse ability in the stage. And it plays a connecting role in the teaching of writing. During this period the learner needs to master the basic knowledge of the language and vocabulary on the basis of further understand the Words, sentences and paragraphs in discourse cohesion and coherence. While writing textbook is the basis and foundation of teaching, we put forward the written discourse theory is applied to the intermediate writing textbook writing.This paper selects 3 Intermediate Writing Textbooks with different writing concept: Chinese Writing Tutorial (The second grade), Writing Essays in Chinese and Experiencing Chinese writing tutorial (Intermediate 1、2), By contrast the model essay, discourse knowledge, discourse exercises on the textbook, to explore the situation of discourse theory applied in writing textbooks, and make recommendations for the preparation of written materials.The paper consists of six chapters. they are introduction, discourse errors and the Intermediate Writing of Chinese as a Foreign Language, the research on discourse model essay, the research on discourse knowledge, the research on discourse exercises and the conclusion.The introduction part mainly introduce the meaning, theoretical basis, the research status on discourse and the writing textbook of teaching chinese as a Second language in china.The second part introduces the types of the discourse errors and the reasons for the discourse errors created, the characteristics and main content of teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing, and make recommendations for the discourse theory applied to teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing.The third part, the fourth part and the fifth part are the main part of this paper, the author studies three aspects by comparing the original data and analysis. At the part of model essays, we introduce the basic situation first, then make analysis of the quantity and length of the model essays, genre and topic, finally summarized and make suggestions. At the discourse knowledge and exercise part, we introduce the basic situation first, then formulate statistical standards, finally summarized and make suggestions.The last chapter has summarized the whole research, point out the inadequate and expressed the prospect of future researches.
