The Comprehensive Research Of Cultural Words Of Road To Success(High-level)

Cultural words means the word containing a certain social and cultural significance, it is one of the carrier of national culture, fully embodies the characteristics of the interdependence of language and culture. Thus cultural words teaching is the effective means to combine the language teaching and culture teaching, and is also the main content in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The article chooses the “Sprint” and “Success” of advanced level of Road to Success that is published by the Beijing language and culture university press in August 2008, and regards the cultural words of which as the research object and makes investigation on the features of its selection and layout. Based on the result of investigation, the reference for compilation and perfection of textbook of advanced level is provided, and the corresponding suggestions for the practical teaching of cultural words of advanced level are also provided.This article is divided into five chapters, the specific content as follows:The first chapter is introduction. Firstly, the value of selected topic is demonstrated from the actual demand of cultural words teaching and the textbook features of Road to Success(high-level), and then the comment of research status about the ontology of cultural words and the inspection of culture words of textbook is made, and at last, research methods that the article refers to are presented.The second chapter is about the investigation of cultural words of Road to Success(high-level). First of all, on the basis of the strict definition of the cultural words, the author made the standard of system classification of culture words and made classification for the culture words of textbook under this standard, and then concluded the specific selection features. Then, on account of the distribution status of all kinds of culture words in respective unit of each volume, the author made investigation on it and concluded the distribution features of it. Finally, the author investigated the modes of presentation of cultural words, including the presentation of text and the presentation of practice.The third chapter is about the layout problems and improvement suggestions of Road to Success(high-level). Based on the conclusion of chapter two, the problems existing in the layout of culture words of textbook are concluded and analyzed from the aspect of the proportion, difficulties and layout limitation of cultural words, and on account of these problems, from the view of proportion adjustment, processing difficulties refinement and divergence increase, the corresponding improvement suggestions are provided.The fourth chapter is about the research of cultural words teaching of Road to success(high-level). According to the features of the textbook, the author concluded the principles of the teaching of cultural words from the view of the practical, the flexible, the individualized and diversity of practice etc., and then preliminary explored some practicable teaching methods against the specific teaching practice.Finally, the significant conclusion, innovation and shortage of the thesis are summed up in the epilogue part of the paper.
