With the development of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language,a variety of textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language have emerged.However,most of the textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language are use words as the basic unit of teaching.The interpretation of new words is an important part of vocabulary teaching.It can be seen that it is very important to compile the annotation of the words if want to make up the teaching materials well.The Road to Success is the series textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The material's teaching method of word meaning is not limited to English-Chinese interpretation,also using illustrations and Chinese characters graphic symbols to indicate the meaning of new word,it is very feature.However,due to the limited space of this article,we only select The Road to Success Lower Elementary 1 as the research object,and study the translation of the new words in detail,the research ideas are as follows:The first part is the introduction,which includes the significance of choose the topic,research theory and research methods,research priorities and difficulties,the summarize of research status.The significance of the choose topic summarizes the importance of lexical annotation;The research emphases and difficulties are the selection of comment points,the words interpretation model,explain the relationship between words and words,the two kinds of prompt meaning ways using illustrations and Chinese characters form symbol;The author summarizes the vocabulary of quantity,grade and distribution and analyzes the model of interpretation and the principle of interpretation.The first chapter is a brief introduction of teaching materials,including the reasons for choose the textbook and introduce comprehensively the textbook,including the text,new words,learn to speak,language points,voice notes,study Chinese characters,make the reader more aware of the textbook,as basis for the following description and analysis.The second chapter is the study of the translation of the new words,including the selection of the comment points and the study of the translation of the new words.From the quantity of vocabulary,words level analysis,word frequency,vocabulary comparison and annotation point selection are analyzed in detail.And analyzed the paraphrase patterns and the semantic relationship between the word and the word,so provide further assistance for students and teachers who using the textbook.The last chapter is study the two auxiliary way of explain new word's meaning,namely using illustrations prompt word's meaning and using the Chinese characters of shape symbols prompt word's meaning,and analysis the role of the two auxiliary way to get the meaning to bilingual interpretation.
