The Variants Research Of Wang Fan Zhi Poems Of Dun Huang Version

Wang Fan zhi poems was founded in Dun Huang excavated documents, which have several different volumes. According to the content of these volumes, the scholars have divided it into three volumes, one volumes, a hundred and ten volumes and sporadically appear volumes. Among them three volumes and one volumes exist in more Dun Huang original volumes and a lot of derivatives.By collating and making contrast between the original volumes of excavated documents of three volumes and which of one volumes, we can find that these volumes are not all intact. Among them, some volumes with the mark of Wang Fan zhi, but only have numbers, some was seriously damaged, only with few poems and on each poem only have numbers, some was slightly damaged in the beginning,end or middle part. In a word, it’s very hard to see the original volumes completely recording Wang Fan zhi poems. Fortunately, as there are a lot of versions about three volumes and one volumes, so we can find variants between them. But after carefully comparison and research, we can find that different volumes existing words missing, words adding, error and disorder which different reading hands caused in the process of copying. The reason of these errors appeared is as different reading hands, the other reason is that the words of original volumes are not clear. In a sense, the errors mentioned in the above are just the characteristics in every volumes. If make a contrast between two same volumes, the errors of one volumes mentioned in the above just also exist in the other volumes, and can serially find several, which can prove that two volumes come out the same version. Then according to these special existing errors to judge the existed order of two versions. In this way, we can roughly judge the existed time of variants.Based on the above facts, this paper can be divided into six chapters. The first chapter will mainly elaborate the research status of Wang Fan zhi poems. The second and the third chapter will respectively present the original volumes status and collate the variants status of three volumes and one volumes. The basic characteristics of excavated documents of every volumes and their variants will exist in two chapters. Under the basis of the above two chapters, the fourth chapter will summary the features of words missing, word adding, errors and disorder against the variants of Wang Fan zhi poems. The fifth chapter specifically analyze differences and relations between variants existed with the details of variants. The last chapter make a conclusion to the research status of variants of Wang Fan zhi poems, and then to prove the influences and values of studying the variants of Wang Fan zhi poems.
