The Study On The Bo-xue Hong-ci Examination In The First Year Of Qianlong

The Bo-Xue Hong-Ci Examination(博学鸿词科)in the first year of Qianlong(The Examination in the year of Bingchen,丙辰词科)is one of the special exams for government degrees during the early and middle term of Qing Dynasty.It owns some similarities and differences when compared with The Bo-Xue Hong-Ru Examination(博学鸿�'科)in the eighteenth year of Kangxi(The Examination in the year of Jiwei,己未词科).It had affected the future direction of academic and literature during the early and middle term of Qing Dynasty in a large part.To study the examination itself and the scholars who were allowed to participate in it can enable us to better understand the difference of the two examinations,to realize the imperial examination system of Qing dynasty more objectively and completely,to grasp the interaction between the imperial examination system and academic/literature more deeply.The paper is divided into four chapters. The first part focuses on the historical facts of The Examination in the year of Bingchen, restores the process and results of the exam, reveal the differences with The Examination in the year of Jiwei by interpret the test questions. The second part will examine and correct the number of the scholars, analyses the places that they came from and the recommendation information, talks about the treatment and fate of the people who were admitted in order to highlights the difference between The Bo-Xue Hong-Ci Examination and the regular examination. The third part mainly focus on the relationship between The Bo-Xue Hong-Ci Examination and the academic in the mid-term of Qing dynasty, includes introduction of the academic change under the historical background, the test question and Qianlong’s paper, the academic achievement of the admitted scholars, etc. The fourth part mainly focus on the relationship between The Bo-Xue Hong-Ci Examination and the literature in the mid-term of Qing dynasty, includes the introduction of the macroscopical influence that the exam itself and the scholars had made to the literature, the effect that the exam had made to the literature in the mid-term of Qing dynasty by testing poetry and Fu(赋),which took the change of the poetry as examples.In the part of conclusion reveals the differences between The Examination in the year of Bingchen and The Examination in the year of Jiwei from all angles by comparing the different historical background,estimates the influence that The Examination in the year of Bingchen had made to the academic and literature in the mid-term of Qing dynasty.In addition,the author collates and punctuates the Li Fusun’s rudimentary literature He Zheng Hou Lu(《鹤征后录》)as an appendix of the paper.
