With the rapid development of Sino-Japanese exchanges, the interpreters’ role has become increasingly important in today’s information age. On the surface, it is just translating a language into another language, but in fact it is not only interpretation and translation, it is a communicative activity under the different cultural backgrounds. The final task of interpretation is to make communication between the two sides proceed smoothly. It needs to be accurately understood from the basis of the original language to express the meaning that will be communicated to the other party, when the native heard the contents of the target language. It’s better naturally in line with the target language and cultural habits. So only being fluent in two languages is not enough, the interpreter must also understand the differences in cultural practices, ways of thinking, values, etc. In the process of interpretation, the interpreter should always keep sensitive to these aspects, the mobilization awareness of intercultural communication, and avoiding the communication obstruction which due to cultural differences to both sides. When I took the practice lesson in interpretation and translations from Chinese into Japanese, I found I was often too particular about the surface meaning, and ignoring the differences in the Japanese culture and communication, resulting in translations remaining obscure, even misleading. After the training and under the guidance of my teacher, I have gradually realized the importance of cross-cultural communication awareness in interpretation. Therefore, I decided to deeply study and discuss the objects which involved in lacking of crosscultural communication awareness and taking the Japanese interpreters and corrected errors of translation as the examples, to write a practice report. This report is not simply an investigation of interpreting skills from the grammar, word-level analysis, but also in the awareness of intercultural communication, from the perspective of cross-cultural communication, combined with practical errors of interpretation communication from the interpretation of Chinese culture associated with vocabulary skills and intercultural consciousness expression of choice to explore two aspects of the analysis. Where the interpretation of Chinese culture techniques associated vocabulary is divided into Chinese culture noun, interpretation skills, Chinese proverbs, and Chinese idioms. We will discuss the two interpreting skills section, Expression of Intercultural Communication Consciousness selection into the Japanese consciousness and expression of group selection, hierarchy and the Japanese expressions choose two parts. This report aims to interpreter with examples, analyze the impact of cultural factors on language interpretation and communication of both sides, and aim to suggest that Chinese translators should pay attention to local and coping skills to improve the efficiency and quality of intercultural communication interpretation. We hope to provide some references that help Japanese interpretation students to reduce the obstacles which come from the cultural differences.
