In the modern Chinese, the compound of “Double-syllable Verb+Single-syllable Noun”( d V+s N hereafter) is one kind of special structure, which is more complex than the other compounds. There are more than four comprehensive factors can affect the formation of nominal compound,including rhythm、syntax、semantic、cognition and so on. Currently, grammarians have obtained a lot of research results of it, but most of the studies limited their object to this compound itself, seldom Chinese grammar scholars extend their views to the language teaching about it. Based on the former researches, we analyzes and studies these compound from several angles such as the complexity of rhythm syntax, the classification of component characteristics,the difference with English as well as the acquisition errors of overseas students, in hope of contributing some suggestions to the Chinese teaching.The full text is divided into six chapters. Chapter I is instruction, reviews and summarizes the recent researches on d V+s N,at the same time introduces the rang、purpose、study methods and the sources of the linguistic data of this article. Chapter II mainly focus on the prosodic features. With the syllables combination, rhythmic,pattern, footing theory and accent positions, the d V+s N has been seen of great complexity. Chapter III, respectively describes and analyses the characteristics of the two components of the d V+s N.Furthermore, the noun has been classified. Chapter IV compares the d V+s N to the same compound in English, the difference of identical in the morphology, differentiation between the compound word and phrases in these two language have been discussed. Chapter V based on the statistics of the compound in the Step by Step Chinese-Intermediate Speaking, as well as the overseas students’ acquisition errors also the cause of errors we have summarized and analyzed, we submitted a certain amount of teaching suggestions at the end.Chapter VI is summary,concludes the main ideas, states the creative point and the plenty room for improvement of this paper.
