Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compound is a special structure composed of a preceding noun morpheme and a following quantifier morpheme,such as "book","flower","population","vehicle","horse",etc..At present,there are some disputes in the academic circles about the definition,structure and functional characteristics of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds.Different groups hold different opinions as to which words can be classified into the scope of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds.Although the occurrence frequency of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds is high,the existing teaching materials of TCFL are relatively scarce,and the students' mastering situation is not ideal.The research object of this article is Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds,which especially often appear in TCFL.This article uses the method of questionnaire survey to investigate the errors of foreign students in learning Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds,analyzes the errors from two perspectives,summarizes the types of errors and the causes of errors,and finally proposes teaching suggestions and related learning strategies for teachers and students from the perspective of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds in TCFL.There are four parts in this article.The first part is the introduction,including the reason and significance of the topic,collecting and sorting out the existing research materials and results on Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds in the academic circle,and conducting a literature review on the definition,functional characteristics,structural attribution and causes.The research methods used in this article mainly include literature analysis,description combined with explanation and questionnaire survey method.And then the corpus sources of this article are listed.The second part is the ontological research of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds.Based on the previous research results,the definition of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds and the three criteria for determining whether the words are Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds are summarized.According to the definition and criteria,51 cases of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds are determined,and their quantitative range is clarified.The functional features of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds are elaborated and analyzed from four aspects phonetics,semantics,grammar and stylisticsThe third part mainly focuses on the error analysis of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds.Based on the theory of interlanguage and error analysis,a questionnaire is designed to investigate the use of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds.The questionnaire is divided into two parts,including the basic information of the subjects and the questionnaire test questions.With intermediate and advanced level students as investigation object,this part examines the bias of students acquisition of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds,unifies the survey results from the two perspectives of the answers to each question and the comparison of different levels and summarizes the types of errors and the causes of errorsThe fourth part is the teaching suggestions and learning strategies of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds.It implements the basic teaching principle of taking students as the main body and teachers as the leading role.Meanwhile,it proposes the corresponding teaching suggestions and learning strategies of Dual Syllable Noun Quantifier Compounds from both teachers and students.The final part is the conclusion.
