Practice Report On Translation Of Homeland Security Budget In CBO

With the continuous development of history, translation becomes to afford the responsibility to promote the mutual conversation, mutual communication, mutual understanding, mutual development among the people of all nationalities in all over the world. In this translation activity, the author selects the translation of homeland security budget in CBO as the task to explore the strategies and method of translating government documents, and provide some reference for our homeland security budget, at the same time enhance translation ability.This is a homeland security budget translation practice report. In the first chapter, the author first introduces the task of homeland security budget, including the choice of the text, the purpose of the project and the structure of the report. Then, in the second chapter, the author mainly introduces the translation process of this translation task, including the research of the background, the introduction of the theory, the analysis of the text characteristics and the problems to which we should pay attentions in this translation process. Then the author respectively describes each of them in detail.The third chapter is the key part of this practice report. In the third chapter, the author discusses the problems found in the translation practice and solutions in detail, namely integrating theory with practice. The author starts from three aspects: words, sentences and discourse with specific cases, and uses text categorization theory and the theory of dynamic equivalence to come up with the translation strategies and the methods to solve the problem that are found in the translation.The fourth chapter is the summary of the paper, in which the author sums up two aspects through the homeland security budget translation practice. The first is the reflection of this translation task, and the second is the revelation for future translation work. This translation practice improve the ability of the author’s translation practice further, at the same time, in the process of translation, the author accumulated amount of related knowledge from the two aspects of homeland security and budget, hoping to research the filed that interested me by this opportunity, and also provide reference for later related translation work.
