It emphasizes on the translation of the new immigration policy information about the United States, Canada, Australia, Britain since 2014.In the translation process of the project, the author analyzes the new immigration policy of the United States, Canada, Australia, Britain since 2014 combining text type theory of functionalist school and text analysis theory of Christine Nord. The author sums up the text characteristics of immigration policy, and analyzes the main extratextual and intratextual factors.According to immigration policy text types and text functions, the author adopts literal translation method, free translation method, amplification, annotation, linear translation method, reverse method, splitting translation skills to solve the problems encountered in the process of translation.The translation techniques are concluded.
