On E-C Translation Of Policy Report Based On Reiss's Text Type Theory

According to Katharina Reiss' s text type theory,text can be divided into three types,which are informative,operative,and expressive texts.With its language plain and its major function conveying information,this policy report is an informative text.Therefore,the translation should be precise and straightforward to reach faithfulness.This paper illustrates the translation strategies and methods in translating policy report texts.It clarifies different text types and their corresponding functions and tries to explore the methods as to how to convey the meaning of policy report texts accurately without any redundancy or ambiguity.
